Downtown Salt Lake has a wide variety of things to do! Take a day to go down and explore. They have the best restaurants, desserts, events, and sites to see. Maybe make some friends along the way because everyone is so friendly!
City Creek: A gorgeous indoor/ outdoor mall. The walls are glass so you can see different areas of downtown. The center of City Creek has lovely greenery and rivers which makes it feel like you are outdoors! A large fountain at one end where there is normally some type of event like yoga or a singer to entertain you if you want to take a break from shopping. City Creek is in the middle of the rest of downtown so you can explore outward and find a delicious restaurant to replenish yourself after a day of shopping! Here is their website if you want to know more.
University of Utah: Arguably one of the most beautiful college campuses from the large glass library saying “Imagine U” to Rice-Eccles Stadium to their innovative buildings like Lassonde, it is fun to walk around. Visit the big block U and grab some Starbucks to walk around! You get to enjoy some beautiful views overlooking downtown and the surrounding mountains while getting a small work out since the campus is uphill. The higher you go up campus, the more of downtown you can see! You have to visit the large legacy bridge dividing upper and lower campus! Here is their website if you want to know more about the U!
Vivint: A least once in your life you have to attend a Jazz game or a concert at the Vivint Smarthome arena! Perfect place for a date night or guys night out! Grab your buddies and get tickets to the next game! They have a wide variety of different snacks that are also offered downtown like J. Dawgs, the best hot dogs downtown in my opinion. Literally every seat in the stadium is a good seat. You can be one of the first rows to get the close up action or go further back and get a better view of the whole stadium! If you want to know more, here is their website.
Downtown has so much more to offer in terms of delicacies so start exploring now!
