There is something about Utahns and their brunch! We love brunch and Salt Lake does it right! It is a fun time to go enjoy a meal with friends and family to start your day. It fills you up and puts you in a good mood for the day ahead!
Piper Down Pub: A lively pub located in the heart of downtown. They serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays with $1.50 mimosas and a free bloody mary bar! Who doesn’t like the sound of that? The inside is cozy and has a lot of character! If you are planning on going to this brunch spot, better make sure to get there early because seats fill up fast with their good food (view their menu here), excellent drink deals, and exciting atmosphere. This is also a great place to go for pub trivia on Sunday nights. A fun way to start or end your weekend!
Red Moose: A cute coffee company located around the block from Liberty Park. Not only do they have a variety of coffee options, they have quality and quick breakfast options! Here is their menu, they have everything from breakfast burritos to bagels and scrambles. My personal favorite being their Belgian waffle with berries, whipped cream, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. Perfect meal for anyone with a sweet tooth!
Pig in a Jelly Jar: A classic go to! A trendy restaurant with great outdoor seating! Perfect place to fuel up and get that morning sun. Their food is southern inspired meaning excellent chicken and waffles, which can be hard to find around here. If you need an early morning pick me up, get their Pig Punch. A white wine spritzer with orange juice, and fresh fruit! Mhh, delicious! See what other southern inspired comfort food they have on their menu.
The Blue Plate Diner: Support this local 1950s inspired mom and pop diner located near Sugar House. They have indoor and outdoor seating so visit anytime of the year. They have filling brunch options but one of the best things on their menu is definitelytheir eggs benny and homestyle potatoes. View more of their delicious options here. If you start your morning at Blue Plate, you know it is going to be a good day. For more information on Blue Plate and other things to do in Sugarhouse, visit my other blog post.
